As you have already figured out, I love love love to travel. Even if I have to work while I am traveling, I still love it. New destinations give me so much pleasure and open new horizons which are helpful for my work. Today, I will share with you one modern yet traditional wedding from last year. Because of this wedding, I had to go to the place where France, Germany, and Switzerland meet. Yes, you are right, I flew to Basel! Maja and Dani were looking for a professional wedding photographer in Basel for ages. Yet, after a while, they decided to hire me. And I can not be more grateful for their smart choice.  Back then, I didn’t have a website, so it was a bit harder to find me on Google, but it looks like my Instagram did the job.  I met them on the day of the ceremony. Maja was wearing a white princess wedding dress, with roses and a long veil in her hair. She looked like a real princess with that long golden locks, and beautiful dress. Dani was wearing a dark grey tailored suit, west and a splendid wide dark blue tie. Fun fact: Maja and Dani decided to get married on the day of their anniversary. Ten years after the first kiss. They had a civil wedding in a fortress Burg Rötteln, and all of you can agree that fortress weddings are #goals. This castle used to be one of the most powerful in the northwest throughout the middle ages, and it was well-known across Europe. Today this is an interesting venue for weddings, that looks perfect for creating outdoor wedding photos near Basel and Lörrach. While there were saying “I Do” inside of the Rötteln Castle, they gently hold the hands of each other. At that moment I felt like something fell into my eye. Kidding, I was ok, but it was a very romantic moment even for a tall, bearded dude like I am. After the ceremony inside the castle, and outdoor photoshoot, we went back to Basel where church wedding took place. The church looked great, it was painted pink outside, and we took some pictures in front of the building. Our next stop was the modern restaurant Sichtwerk in Germany. Wedding decorators and florists created a cozy atmosphere with round tables and cute. The wedding cake was tall and white with strawberries and blueberries. When the music started Maja and Dani had the best time along with their dearest friends. I would like to thank Maja and Dani for their invitation to be a part of this fortress wedding… I can’t wait to come again and do my job as a wedding photographer in Basel again.
