It is not a rare case that people hire a professional wedding photographer for two events in a row: an engagement and a wedding. I had the luck to be a part of Sinisa and Dubravka’s engagement celebration, as well as their forest wedding at Vila Green Day.
We met one month before their wedding in front of the big lavender field near Novi Sad. They had just gotten engaged and they were looking like they would burst into happiness. The purple color of lavender was shooting, and the combination of sunset and flowers made us feel like we were on the Mediterranean coast.
Dubravka and Sinisa decided to wear blue jeans and a whimsical white t-shirt, and they were cool just like Lana Del Rey’s song lyrics.
I am glad that they decided to bring their engagement photoshoot outside and make it casual and candid. Good advice for couples who would also like to have engagement photos is to coordinate color tones.
Nature-inspired forest wedding
The wedding of Dubravka and Sinisa was inspired by nature just like their engagement photoshoot. This time the woods were in the focus. The whimsical and woodsy wedding took place at Vila Green Day near Novi Sad. The whole place was full of wildflowers and roses, and there was a huge dream catcher at the villa where guests took a lot of pictures.
Boho decor
The whole space was decorated in boho style with a lot of natural flowers and golden details such as French macarons.
Dubravka wore a custom-made dress with beautiful beads, pearls, and embroidery by Kaca Gaj. Kaca created a dress that was magical with a lot of tulle and a beautiful top part, and Dubravka looked like a fairy with her natural makeup and curls. Sinisa looked sharp in his suit with a dotted tie and his smile was easy to see in every photo.
Most cherished moments
I loved photos with lodges and panoramic shots, but the best are those with the cake and their family.
In the magnificent ambient of Vila Green Day, their guest had so much fun, and they danced the night away. I would like to wish them a lot of love and happiness in their marriage and thank them for choosing me as their wedding photographer for this lovely forest wedding.
